today at the allotment

Our tomatoes needed cutting back, we learned at the weekend. We duly cut them back. We coveted our neighbours ripening toms.
We tried to hold back the tide of pumpkin runners. Spiky bastards too. Many scratches were suffered by all! We're rather proud to have 9 - yes NINE - pumpkins growing larger by the day. Pumpkin chutney is planned. Also barbecued pumpkin.
Checked out the peppers and chillies. The latter not doing so well. Who's been eating my chillies?

I picked Sonal a bunch of sweet peas cause she's had a hard day. Hope they make it in to work without dropping too many petals.
