The Cherry Tree

We planted our cherry tree yesterday between downpours, light snow - or was it hail?

It's just a stick right now but one with lovely, promising buds.

I'm looking forward to harvesting cherries this summer? next summer? So long as the birds don't get there first! Not that I'd begrudge them a tasty cherry or two.
